1. Introduction to the Research Team
The team will focus on applied basic research and development in the breeding, cultivation and utilization, physiological metabolism, and active components of characteristic edible/medicinal fungi resources in Yunnan Province. Through artificial cultivation of high-value edible/medicinal fungi and domestication of wild edible mushrooms in Yunnan Province, we aim to provide technical support for the establishment and development of the Modern Industrial College of Edible Fungi.
2. Specific Research Directions
(1) Metabolic regulation and high-value utilization of bioactive components in rare edible/medicinal fungi.
(2) Domestication, cultivation, and elite strain development of wild edible mushrooms in Yunnan Province.
(3) Diversity and molecular phylogenetics of macrofungi in Yunnan Province.
3. Research Projects
(1) National Natural Science Foundation of China, The induction and regulation mechanism of Lauraceae culture mediums on the triterpenoid anabolism of Taiwanofungus camphoratus. Main objectives: elucidating regulatory mechanisms of transcription factors and key synthase genes during triterpenoid synthesis in Taiwanofungus camphoratus induced by Lauraceae culture substrates; deciphering the biosynthetic metabolism of triterpenoid compounds in Taiwanofungus camphoratus through terpenoid substrate interaction with Lauraceae culture media.
(2) Xingdian Talent Support Program in Yunnan Province, Discovery and evaluation of bioactive components in Taiwanofungus camphoratus. Main objectives: discovery and functional evaluation of bioactive components in Taiwanofungus camphoratus with elucidation of key gene regulatory mechanisms; preparation of high-purity natural bioactive monomeric compounds from Taiwanofungus camphoratus.
